The Beacon

Located on your instrument panel is an indicator called the beacon. The beacon gives you an indication of the quality of your online connection. It is found in different places on the instrument panel in different planes, and is marked in the language of the country that built the aircraft. The beacon can be one of three colors at any one time.

Hellcat's BeaconFw-190's Beacon

Green - Your connection to the server is good. All radio and icon functions are available to you.

Yellow - Your connection is marginal and game play will suffer. You will lose some radio communication, and your visibility of other planes will suffer as well. You may notice these planes jumping across your screen very quickly - this is known as "warping" and is a symptom of a bad connection on your end, or perhaps the other player's. If your beacon remains yellow for a long period and does not return to green, you should exit WarBirds and reconnect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to try and get a better connection.

Red - This indicates total loss of connection between your ISP and the WarBirds server. You can try and wait a few seconds to see if the connection is re-established but in most cases you should relog into your ISP to re-establish your connection.
